  1. I want to start with this philosophy phrase that Neil Pasricha said:
“Life is so great that we only get such a short time to experience and enjoy all those tiny little moments that make it so sweet.” Life is also unpredictable and enough short to do things you don’t love such as staying in a job you don’t love or living with a person you don’t love. We have to take note of smaller things in our life. I am thankful that I have a loving family, amazing children and good future job. If we live our life with attitude, awareness and authenticity in mind, it will be for sure AWESOME.

  3. Neil Pasricha is talking about 3A- Awesome, which is really awesome to guide and direct our own life. I found this philosophy similar to the philosophy of religion which we have to follow though our culture. All three As should be kept as value in the life. Attitude attracted my interest because it is my concerns and real life experience. My morality and value is to face the problems, just be honest and wait for time because time is the most powerful in this world that can cure anything. In this video he says “No matter what pain hits you, no matter how difficult it is, choosing to move forward and move on and takes baby steps into the future.” So instead of running away from the problem and be in dark, we must face the problems and should take factual steps to reduce the problem. If you stay in deep dark that will only increase and make problem stronger instead of diminishing it.

  4. For many years in my country, we always had a dream about the day that will save us from our suffer, the day that will put an end to one of the darkest periods of our life. In our minds, we thought that getting immigrated in the United States would be the only way to start a whole new peaceful life. Therefore, we planned and got ready for this glorious day to arrive to the promised land and as the one and the only destination. However, in the summer of 2009, things took a wrong direction when we got accepted for immigrating to Canada. After the first month of our arrival here, we started having a continuous depression resulted from the idea of being in a place that we was not our demanded destination. Whenever we faced problems or difficulties, our frustration grew and we grew weaker with it until we finally gave up. As Neil Pasricha said " None of us can predict the future, but we do know one thing about it and that's that it ain't gonna go according to plan." We realized that the problem is not in the place we are living. It is our negative attitude which is preventing us form seeing all the postive aspects of this new life. Instead of praising some great moments in the past, we should face the present difficulties and overcome them because sometimes the life does not work the way we want and "We will all have high highs and big days and proud moments, but between those high highs, we may also have some lumps and bumps too." Now, we should always be grateful to God and appreciate the beautiful life he gave us. We also must enjoy every moment of this life because no matter how hard or happy things are, they always happen for a purpose. As Pasricha mentioned that the moments of our life are counting down, so we should move forward and learn some great lessons because life is truly awesome.

  5. I agree with you Bishal because it's really hard to face the problem but only the right way to solve it.

  6. After I watch the video, I realize that all of these 3 awesome things have played roles in my life but the one which is most important to me is Awareness. In all my life, every time that I have difficulties, I try to look over the situations and I see that I have a better life than a lot of people so I continue to go on. Life is not always easy, sometimes terrible things can happen but I still have my family and my friends to rely on, they are love me with all their heart no matter what so I appreciate them so much. As Neil Pasricha said "we all have little moments that make our life so sweet", I have those moments too. Beside the busy, stressful moments, there are some moments which make me smile. With my family, friends and sweet little moments of my life, I think that I can face any difficulties and challenges.

  8. (YanLi)As what he said, life is so short, everyone you loved, everyone you meet, and yourself would be dead in 100 years. We only get short time to enjoy every tiny moment in our lives, and this moment is right now. We can't go back to our lives to make any change, but we can make change for this second and even in the future. hence, we have to have a good attitude, no matter how pain it is, how many problems we have, how difficult it is, we need to be optimistic, because we dont have much time can waste on blaming things or others. furthermore, we need follow by our own steps, and then move forward to create an awesome lives,to be the real one we want to be.

  10. Neil Pasricha introduced his blissful times and unfortunate times. However, he realized that when he was living with 3As which are attitude, awareness, and authenticity, he could be satisfied his life and cope with his difficult situations. So after watched his lecture, I thought whether I have been living in a state of euphoria. Also I looked back on my whole life. It was not bad, but when I had some problems, I always made myself to a victim and it made my feeling gloomy as well, so now it’s time to change my attitude and awareness positively. I would like to introduce my favorite sentence which Neil pasricha said, “If you live your life with a great attitude, choosing to move forward and move on whenever life deals you a blow, living with a sense of awareness of the world around you, embracing your inner three year-old and seeing the tiny joys that make life so sweet and being authentic to yourself, being you and being cool with that, letting your heart lead you and putting yourself in experiences that satisfy you, then I think you’ll live a life that is rich and is satisfying, and I think you live a life that is truly awesome”. We should remember the sentence in order to live our life without regrets. It will lead us to real happy lives.

  11. My thought, awesome 3A’s gave me reminder of my inner self such as my attitude, awareness and authenticity. Because, now days I do not feel confidence my decision that I came here. Of course life is complicated. Everything changes every time that makes me tired, renunciation. Nevertheless, looking back, I choose to move here, it was following my heart that I really want to learn English and improve my career for my future. As Neil Pasricha said, “you would have to be really authentic and you would have to be really true to yourself in order to get through what you are being exposed to”. It approaches to face up to the reality to me. However, I will go on my future step by step. I will break for my dream

  12. yeah. I think so Amy's opinion that we should embrace ourselves..Also, we can enjoy ourlives.
Amy!! you are not victim!! you are an awesome girl^^

  13. Thank you Vanessa!!! You are an awesome girl, too.
I agree with Trinh’s comment. The awareness is important. Sometime we fall into the pit of despair out of awareness, when we are in difficult situations. Thus, we remember that we have to control the stream of our awareness for our future lives.

  14. This topic will inevitably lead to a primary question in Philosophy that the meaning of life. Neil Pasricha mentioned 3 As: Attitude, Awareness and Authenticity, in leading sweet life. Positive attitude is the first guideline. I can't always make myself choose moving forward in this regard. Occasionally I get used to complain and stay at where I get stuck. Nevertheless, I have been putting effort in pushing myself forward in the journey of life. From Neil's explanation for awareness, I think maybe Curiosity is more appropriate. Seeing the world as the first time is to keep the curiosity from childhood. I believe this is absolutely right. With time flying by, we more or less become sophisticated and hardly to be surprised or even feel shamed to be exposed to new things. However, if we can retain the portion of curiosity, I believe we will never be bored again. The last ingredient in the recipe of an awesome life is authenticity, which Neil unscrambled it as following your heart, being you and being cool with that. This takes lots of coverage to fulfill. For me, sometimes, I don't even know How I should be like, let alone social pressures may be imposed on what my heart tells me to do. I remember a line from Friends. That episode was about Rachel cutting her credit cards and trying to be independent. Monica hugged Rachel and said, "the world is suck, but you are gonna love it!" We all have bumped moments, but what we should remind ourselves are those tiny moments to make life so sweet!

  15. ''following your heart, being you and being cool with that. This takes lots of coverage to fulfill.'' I would agree with Ruiling on this point. We are nor isolated; we are always influenced by our surrounding, the way we behave, the way we think. It maybe cool, but not we can do all the time. Anyway, let is try to be cool! Cathy

  16. The presentation of Neil Pasricha which is called ''The 3 As of awesome!'' is really awesome to me. “having a great attitude is about to face the future with newly sober eyes, choosing no matter how difficult it is, no matter what pain hits you, choosing to move forward and move on and take the baby step into future. It is all about being optimistic. No matter what attitude you have while facing difficulties, life goes on; therefore except being positive, nothing is going to help you to get out of troubled times. In the very beginning of life in Canada, I suddenly realized that I was going to have so many difficulties those I hadn’t thought about them. I was hesitating if I should give up. The unknown future made me feel the sky was grey; the weather even was colder than truth, and English became harder. After a periodic time, I thought something must be changed; I couldn’t live in that situation any longer. Then, I told myself I need to find something that could help me notice the advantages of life here. And I found playing with snow is fun, it brings happy laugher to my son and the happiness to me as well. Learning English is hard, but I will be fine with it someday and it is a tool that helps me making life easier no matter where I stay in the future. Furthermore, I found that those difficulties were not so tough to kill or to deal with. We all are able to handle the bumps well with an optimistic view of life.
So let’s be positive and to focus on those tiny little things that make life so sweet, enjoy the present, hold every happy moment that maybe fleeting and have a wonderful life.

  17. I agreed the same point as Cathy: "following your heart, being you and being cool with that."
As Neil Pasricha said, we can find little awesome things every day and be happy and cool!!!

  18. Hello everybody. Well, I think all three A’s are very important and, certainly, there are moments in one’s life when you have to appeal to one or two or the three of them. And I think this is one of these moments in my life. My family and I are going through a situation that is very difficult for us. We have left our country, our families, our friends, our jobs and our life style to come to this wonderful, friendly and welcoming country. There are not sufficient words to describe my thankful feelings to this country and, of course, to its people. However, as every newcomer, we are experiencing the inherent difficulties of a such situation: new life starting, struggling with barriers like the language, different culture, ...,and so on. So these current moments are demanding from us a lot of attitude, a lot of awareness and a lot of authenticity. Attitude because we have decided to “face the future” and “to go forward”, which means we are doing what we have to do: my sons are going to school, my wife and I are learning English and I am following a career goal plan which will enable me to get a job that will allow us to get back our living standards (I hope so!). Awareness because we are discovering a new world, like if we were “seeing the world for the first time”, mostly for my wife and our sons, and despite the difficulties, we are enjoying some of the moments in this new country and the new life. And authenticity, because even though we are in a new country, we are trying to not forget our origins. At home we speak our language and teach our cultural values to our sons. So, moving to another country is a real opportunity for these three A’s to play a role in our lives.

  19. Hello Liliya, I totally agree with you. Besides what you say about life being so short, it is also true that life is only one. We only have one opportunity to live our own life, so it depends on our attitude, on what we decide we want to live and how (the way) we assume all the experiences we live. As we saw today in the passage “the man in Bogota”, from every experience we can see two sides: the positive one and the negative one. So, while a pessimistic person only sees the negative side in a given situation, an optimistic person will always be looking for the positive side in the same situation. Therefore, life is really a matter of attitude!

  20. I enjoyed this video. The way how Neil developed it by taking his parents as an example was remarkable. Neil recognizes the effort his parents should have done when they came to Canada for first time. Somehow I think that my kids one day they will have similar story to say. Since my wife and me decided to come here to offer our kids better chances of success, my story is similar than Neil's parents. As Neil said, immigrants as his parents were in the past implies to the 3 As of awesome. In my personal life I dare to say that while living here I've faced moments that requires a lot of attitude and authenticity, so I agree with Neil comments when he says: in hard momments jus move forward and always be yourself.

  21. Hi Fadi, my story is kind of similar than yours when you talk about the hard moments your family experienced just after your arrival to Canada. Even though you were looking to leave your country. In my case was hard because I didn't expected that would be so hard to leave your home country and have to adapt to a new culture. However I could experienced that after bad moments there's always good ones coming, so better don't lose the attitud and move forward.

  22. After I listened to Neil Pasricha’s video, I had the same feeling with him. That is, life can’t be always smooth at all the time due to our human being has the ability of sensibility to perceive the world. Someone may succeed while someone may suffer failure in this competitive society. Furthermore, everyone has different reactions from his/her failure such as sad, doleful, pensive, impressionable emotional problem. I think the positive attitude has played the important role in my life. The most important thing is how to solve the problem bravely and keep on going as the old timer said “when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.” In my opinion, there is always one door open for you if you are an optimistic person. I failed to enter college because my scores from high school were too low to meet the requirement of the college. One year later, I got an opportunity to go to our local university for a non-diploma major in international trade. During these two years, I studied very hard to compensate my failure at high school. Then I used what I have learned in the university to improve my working ability. I was proud to see that my company went from 5 workers to 28 workers as well as the business got 5 times larger at the time I left for Canada. One of employees at the Bank of China praised that my negotiating shipping documents were the best one he had ever read. As Neil mentioned in his video, “No matter what pain hits you, choosing to move forward and move on and take baby steps into the future.” The positive attitude helps me solve my problem in my life. Now I am in Canada, I will continue to use this active attitude on my study and daily lives.

  23. Fadi: It’s good news for you and your family to end all the tribulation from which you suffer. My husband had the similar experience. When their family escaped from the civil war of Vietnam, he was 17 years old. I am glad to see that you learned to appreciate instead of hate from the trial even through you are only 19 years old. As Neil said in his video, ”But I would imagine that it would take a great attitude, I would imagine that you’d have to be pretty aware of your surroundings and appreciating the small wonders that you’re starting to see in your new world.” Using the positive attitude to treat life, life will give you a satisfactory answer.

  24. Hello,I really enjoed listening to Neil Pasricha and I think he found three most important things in the life attitude, awareness and authenticity. In my oppinion evrebody is unique and becauce of that the world is wonderful. Being yourself is the best you can do to find happyness in your life. Furthermore, when you are happy you will be able to make others happy. So, my suggestion is pretty close to Neil's advice,by paying more attention to the little joys in the life you will "live a life that is truly awesome" because only having eyes for the little happy and beautiful thing you would see the big happyness.

  25. I would like to comment on one of three, “Authenticity.” I really agreed with Neil Paricha about “Authenticity self”, “being you and being cool with that” or “following your heart and put yourself in places, situation…”. When I decided to immigrate to Canada, many people who live in Canada commented my decision because there are not serious reasons to move from Japan. As stereotype, it can be true such as a safe place, stable economy and more in Japan; however, how many people who live in my country are authentic self. I believe it is not many. One of the reason, if people are out of rules or customs, people are isolated by society. Because of the reason, we have a high percentage of suicide. As a human being, it is important to being authentic self in your life. Our life is limited and we should effectively use precious time. I am really happy to being myself in Canada and will stay cool!

  26. Jing, I agree with you that there is always one door open for you if you are optimistic person. In addition of your comment I want to add that this new opened door very often is beter than the previuos one which has already been closed for you.

  28. Hi Bishal, it is true when you stay in deep dark that will only make the problem stronger and you won't be able to solved it. Instead of thinking how big your problem is, it is better to see what lesson you can learn from it.

  30. Life is the beautiful world that surrounding us. One day with us and another day against us. Sometimes we face negative destiny or positive destiny. We have to accept our destiny and never give up to this life even in sin situation. Look what happen to Kino when he was against the destiny he lost everything. I agree totally with Neil Pasricha when he says that the 3 things attitude, awareness and authenticity are the clue to have hope, life and the paradise on earth. For me, the most important thing is awareness. We must be careful from bad sin that come to us and protect ourselves from the evil song. If we do not know about the surrounding area that we are living in and its evils places or thoughts then, we may get hurt from bad people and then we destroy our life. For example, someone who is a good person, then you find him mix with bad people. You may wonder, what this person doing with them?. Most likely this person did not know of the consequence of what he is doing that it could lead him to be a bad person. Therefore, this is the catastrophe of the non-awareness consequences. Positive attitude shows respect and admiration to others. Authenticity is also an asset to love the life. Original is a powerful magic of tenderness and affection inside us that gives happiness and satisfaction in our life. This life is only 100 years and we have to take advantages from each moment we breathe with happiness and love in which it makes us living in peaceful life.

  31. Hi Bishal,

I agree with you about the point that the three A's mentioned in the video are a common ideology in many religions and cultures. Also, I remember the novel we red in ENP "In the Eyes of Anahita" when the author concludes that the frustration of human beings is what preventing them from seeing the beauty of this world and the life on it.

  32. I agree with you Lilya, in this life we have to be happy inside ourselves. If staying with a partner destroy our happiness, it is better to finish this relationship. Always there is a lot of opportunity in our life. If we lose job, money, or wife. Always life gives us another chance and compensation to live better. To succeed, we have to believe in ourselves and our faith.

  33. I agree with Liliya. She lays emphasis on the fact that life is short. It is hundred percent true and we definitely need to value moral and ethical parts of life because they make our life more meaningful. In this short life, we have to do some noble deeds as they will be remembered by other people in the world.
