  1. "Honesty is the expensive gift so don't expect it from Cheap People"

This is second semester that i finished My ESL program. I have made lot of good friends from the beginning like cesar, Hichem, Mariala, Liliya.fadi etc
Also I got a great chance to meet new people and our relation was so energetic. I tried to be honest and good friend with them. I tried my best to enjoy and be cool in my class but i also built Bad Image on my teachers' and colleagues' mind as a cheater??? I don know!!!! But main thing I was totally frank and straightforward.
My career goal is Electrical Engineering In university But I am not sure I will go to SAIT or elsewhere. I totally changed my career from my background so i need to upgrade some subjects that's Y I m going to start upgrading next semester in BowValley College for almost 1 year.
As a new comer, I enjoyed my schooling in bowvalley. Thanks to my great, lovely teacher Charlotte that I expect wherever i go I will be able to find You as my teacher. You have given me a great memory that I will always keep in my heart. 2. After almost a year of studying in the ESL program at Bow Valley College, the journey will finally come to an end by finishing EAP this month. Through this period, I had a chance to meet great English instructors, learn the required language skills and more importantly, meeting students from diverse cultures and countries. Simply, it was such an unforgetable experince to be around all these people and learn diffrent things from them. In EAP, we had a good time together as a class with our beloved teacher Charlotte who did her best to support us and guide us towards the right path. We will really miss her presence. Also, as peers, we did such a remarkable job by collaborating together in achieving and passing diffrent activites and tasks, and also enjoying some jokes and fun time in class. We were a unique team. Now, for me finishing EAP is only the begining of the road towards my future career. This fall, I will start taking part-time academic upgrading course at BVC in order to get the required math and English credits for my potential post-secondary program, info tech at SAIT. Finally, I wish you guys all the best in your life and I hope I will see you someday working successfully in diffrent occupations and positions. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.....

  3. Hey guys,

I'm writing this blog from Vancouver, after EAP, I'm spending a vacation here and after that I'm going to study Math to prepare for my business course. In this EAP course, I learnt from our teachers and from my classmates too. You guys have helped me a lot in class, throughout our debates or seminars, I listened and learnt a lot of experiences from you. Every minute in EAP is my precious moments that I will never forget, and the most memorable moment of all is when we did badly in a test and Charlotte gave us cookies to support us. For me, it was a precious gift ever. I'm missing you guys right now and wish I was there to enjoy last days with you guys. Wish you guys health and all the best!

  4. I have been learning English at BVC more than one year. In the beginning of the learning, life was harder without any pleasure. But after I threw those worries away, I found that the learning could be enjoyable too. Furthermore, I realized that there were so many new things to know, such as different cultures, strange manners, wired clothes that from countries around the world. In addition, my English has been improved a lot. Therefore, thank t all teachers of BVC, who gave me helps and encouraged me to embrace the new life in Canada. Thank Charlotte who made my last ESL semester so interesting and unforgettable and all of you who gave me indelible impression. Your humors made our class the most laughing class that I ever had.
As I mentioned earlier, I am going to take the nursing program at BVC as my post-secondary program. I wish it would be another enjoyable experience just like this term, but for sure it is impossible; heavy study tasks is going to offer me a hard and long time.
I hope we can meet each other someday in the near future and all of us can have a stable job that we like to do.
The most sincere wishes to all of you,
    Cathy

  5. I cannot believe that EAP class will be finished this week. I have been studied 4 semesters at BVC. Each semester was memorable for me and I made lot of friends from over the world. This is the last English course for us, but it will be a new start as well. We will move on each future goal after this semester. It is sad to say good bye; however, I wish all classmates coming a bright future. I will be back to work as a full time if I can do at current job in Calgary after EAP, but I am planning to take some part time course from BVC such as pronunciation course from this fall. My occupation is sales associate and especially, my speaking, presentation and writing skill which I have learned brought me confidence and help me a lot. Now I enjoy more speaking English with customers.
I want Charlotte to say thank you for all and your smile and laugh make me reducing stress!!! Let us know when you deliver your baby boy.
Thank you for all my classmates.
    I will miss you guy.

  6. Dear classmates,
I hope all of you are going to have a career in something you really like. I've always said: "I would rather like my job and make not so good money, than have the job that pays $$$ and absolutely hate it."
“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.”
    Confucius
    Dear Charlotte,
As you are my teacher want to thank for your help. I enjoyed being taught by you. You are an excellent teacher I have ever seen. To be a teacher will be very tired and boring. Every day, you ought to correct so many works. But you enjoy it. In my view, great teachers do more than teach, they encourage and inspire. You’ve done all of them. You make me start loving English. Thank you all the time.

    With love:Liliya

  8. "Every success story is also a story of failure"

    Dear Classmates,
First of all, thank you very much for your cooperative and friendly behaviour that all of you demonstrated throughout English for Academic Purpose (EAP) program. As we all know, we are going to complete EAP next week, and I believe that all of the participants of EAP had a particular plan for their future career. Now time has come to translate that dream into reality. In my case, I am going to study one year certificate program on Human Resource Management from Bow Valley College, and it will start from 29 August, 2011. If I get into the field of Human Resource Management, I will be fully involved in this exciting sector. If not so, I will go to the University of Calgary for Masters degree in International and Community Development (Social Work)as it is my second priority.

    Dear Charlotte,
In the very beginning, I salute your motivational ways of teaching that you have used to successfully implement instructional strategies in the actual classroom situation. While reflecting from EAP classes, I do not hesitate to say that I had golden opportunity to learn and consolidate several interesting and invaluable things from you. In my opinion, you are not only the best teacher but also a good mentor, guide and coach. It is often said that a good teacher teaches and a great teacher inspires. You really inspired me in different ways (these are my memorable moments). Finally, may God bless you and your baby in every walk of life!

As Fadi said, I wish you all the best in your lives. Thank you all very much for your participation in this important stage of my life! What a great and memorable moments!

  10. Graduation is such an emotional moment. It's not easy to say goodbye to my dearest teacher Charlotte and my lovely classmates. When writing an end to this journey, I drown in memories.Fragments of videos and questions we discussed are all in my mind. I remember how I was nervous about presentation. I still do, but much better than the very beginning. Thanks for the book club, so that I can be introduced to so many inspiring books. I will really miss the time we spent together discussing a topic in groups, exchanging our ideas.Thank you my dear teacher Charlotte and classmates, thank you for the encouragement and help me a lot.Time really flies! Next semester, I will move on towards accounting program, but I will remember this wonderful time we have learned together in our EAP.

  11. Time goes so fast. We have been studying EAP for 4 months. I will use what I have learned from this program to apply to my future program. I will attend the Early Learning and Child Care program because my husband and I plan to have a baby. I need to take time to look after my future children. Maybe several years later, I will come back to study the Accounting program. Furthermore, it is easier to find a job as a child caregiver.

I will miss everyone in this class. Everyone is unique. Charlotte has given me lots of encourage in my studying. International students Amy, Vanessa, Trinh and Edward showed me the methods in doing Plato. I learned a lot of from the teenagers. They have quick thinking, strong computer skills and the ability of fast learning. Nozomi is a very nice girl. She is always happy to help others. She also had the experience of encountering the bear which made me think she is a legend. I also learned many knowledge of regime from Ruiling and medical knowledge from Cathy. At the same time, I learned “Hello” in Spanish from Jose. Fadi studies very hard. Bishal is naughty. Hichem is lovely. Madan is an excellent speaker and debater. Cesar is good at logical think. Liliya, Meriela and Yanli try their best to achieve their goals. This is an amazing class. The happiness will remain in my heart forever.

After August 18, 2011 we are all going to move on to our new adventure. I would like to wish everyone good luck and hope that one day in the future we will get together for a reunion.

  12. Hi Guys!

    EAP Accomplish, ESL Finish!
English in my country is a third language after Arabic and French. I started ESL in 2008 in Montreal, then in 2009 in Calgary, after that 2010-2011 again in Calgary. I spent almost 3 years learning this language and I am happy for its accomplishment.
ESL especially in BowValley was exceptional. Memories induce its good moments….when I remember my ESL, I feel a beautiful feeling and exciting moments. I remember how long the process to learn the language, how nice and friendly friends I have met, and how understandable and nice teachers I have learned from. I remember straggling to succeed in winter, in summer, in fall, or in spring… … we started from the beginning with doubt, confuse, fear and pain of what our future will be! And having mixed tears with smile! Finally, the song of angel embraces us with a beautiful words and rhythm, and a relief comes and our future is clearer than before.

    After ESL!
My plan is doing upgrading at Bowvalley College, and then if I succeed I am planning to do a Networking program at SAIT. My job title most likely be “Networking analyst”, then with expertise I will be “Networking Consultant”.

    OO my Classmates! How we are brave;
We realized something not really easy to attaint….do you remember the heavy projects and homework…

    OO My Teacher Charlotte!
Charlotte was one of the main characters in our EAP story. She was really helpful, understanding, flexible and has a good humor. Her nice character let students work hard, respect her, and do their homework on time because it is such a shame to make a nice person angry! And our research paper presentation is a good proof of that…..

    OO My Classmates and Teacher!
The sun rise, dense and then set. Our EAP was like a sun or maybe like a flower bloomed, lived a beautiful moments and then wilt. Time is gone but memories stay forever ….
I will miss you so much, all of you without exception and our teacher Charlotte too because we spent a very good time together laughing, joking, having fun and studying.
For me, the most memorable thing is when Charlotte and some crazy people like Beshal gave as a lot fun everyday, and specifically when we discussed about the tent and “Tac Tac” that make me crazy laughing and happy.

    Bye My Classmates!
I hope the success in your life and might be one day we met and share our nice memorable things….. Charlotte I hope you get a nice baby and succeed in your life as a Mom.
    Best wishes
    Your Classmate Hichem

  13. When I think back to find some memorable moments I had in EAP, I could find several memories. One of the most memorable moments was that when I was weak, Charlotte was my strength. Sometime, I felt like giving up on this class because I thought my ability in English was so weak. However, she always encouraged me to improve my English, so I would like to say “Thank you” to her. To my classmates, I would like to say “Thank you” to them too. I have a quiet personality. Also, I act aloof toward people because I am very shy. However, they were kind to me with their warm hearts. Therefore, I could feel a warm atmosphere in our EAP class. Ruiling, Cathy, and Jing always worried about my health, so thank you so much! You guys can live forever in the earth because you guys always eat healthy food, Nozome, her speech of encouragement to me made me get my spunk up. Liliya’s confidence and an enthusiastic attitude made our class more vibrant and full of energy. Mariela, I won’t ever forget that your beautiful wink. Jose, thank you for saying hello to me first. Madan, I will never forget that your presentations and smile. Hichem and Cesar, I couldn’t talk with you, but I could laugh from you in our class. Edward, sometime I said you strong language. However, I didn’t mean what I said. Vanessa and Trinh, I am very happy because we became closer even though we already had a nice relationship. After finishing EAP, I will enter a college which is Sait, so my classmates who will study at Sait, will see me in this college. Finally, may Charlotte and my classmates be happy and healthy! Also I wish you guys the best of luck in your life or business. If we happen to meet someday, please say hello and don’t ignore! Bye!!!
