  2. This is really nice to spend your time in a way that you will be happy at the end of the day.
I will set a time for practicing vocabulary each day. I think I just need to try something new and follow my heart. We have to always enjoy trying something new. This year I'm giving myself a simple challenge each month. I started from January 4th and my challenge will continue to August 17th. Good, I really need this challenge.

  3. I think trying to something new for 30 days is very hard, so in that mean, Matt Cutts, who talked about “Try something new for 30 days” is a truly splendid man because he finished great things such as climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, stop taking sugar, riding bike to work, and writing a novel for 30 days. For me, I tried something new last Friday. I went to pub with an lraqi man and a Napal man. Also, when I think further back into one month, I participated in Canada day event as a volunteer. In addition, back in 3 years I came to Canada, so until now I am in progress to try something new that survive in Canada. When I think about that, I feel proud of myself and it gave me the confidence to look for other opportunities as Matt Cutts said. When people compare with Matt Cutts’ story and my story, maybe they think mine is just little things. However, if I felt good about them, that is no problem. I would like to try diet for 30 days, so I will eat potato only and I would like to try that I live for 30 days as if I must be the happiest person on earth. It will help me change my negative behavior and personality to positive ways. I really like this video, through watching the video, I have courage to try something new because I dislike living my life as ordinary people, so I always try to something new, but people look at me oddly as if I am some kind of alien. In addition, after watching it, I thought about 30 days. We can make our 30 days specially. Therefore, I will find new things as much as I can for making my life more valuable.

  4. As Japanese proverb says, “Continuity is power". Because people keep doing same things for a long period that is very difficult. I have been changing my life style since last May. First, I moved form Banff to Calgary to study English at Bow Valley College. Second, I have been kept my job at Banff, but I work as a part time after I moved to Calgary. Third, finally my work place transferred from Banff to Calgary in June; however, I am trying to adopt new work place atmosphere now. I think I need another few months to adopt it.

I would like to try new thing for next 30 days….I do exercise, such as hiking, jogging or yoga because I haven’t done exercise since last May. When I lived in Banff, I go hiking in summer and skiing or snowboarding in winter. I really need exercise and I can still enjoy the rest of summer!

  5. Since I arrived here in Canada two years ago, I always had the same routine lifestyle daily, from working in the same job and studying in ESL program. Unlike the life I had in my country where I used to hang out with a whole bunch of buddies almost everyday, doing many sport activites and of course having fun in high school. Simply, it was a life free of responsibilities and full of discovering new things each day. Now, I'm trying to restore a part of that life here. Two months ago, I finally quit the job that I hated so bad. Also, after finishing EAP this month, I'm gonna take some part-time high school courses at bvc. By doing so, I'll have more time to workout and exercise in gym, volunteer in some programs, getting out of town for a while and most importantly, getting a girlfriend!!!
These things are not gonna last only for 30 days but a lifestyle from now on.

  6. In 30 more days, I would like to try to get stronger health. In my country, I usually play sports but when I came here, I became lazy so my health is getting bad. I sleep in the afternoon and wake up at night and I haven't have any energy in the morning or in the afternoon and this is really bad for my schoolwork. To reach my goal, I will need to do more exercises and go to sleep early. These things seem to be easy but for me, they're really not. I will try it for the next 30 days and hope that I will get a stronger health.

  7. I strongly believe in practice that can be your habit. If you really want to change your habit then just practice it for few days/month then you will notice that everything is practice. I have used this theory before several times, at beginning, you will find it so difficult but at least if you try it you will be perfect. Life is too short and one chance, you will not get this life again. Life is like radio, TV, computer etc whenever you can just use it, sometimes do maintenance and repair but when it cannot be repaired throw it like dead body. This is your biggest luck that you got a chance to be a human in this world, you are so lucky that you are not animal. Enjoy your life let it goes and try to be best with people, just cool, practice your life's routine in good manner that you will be remembered as a good human kind.
So the practice is essential to be a perfect man/women.

  11. Freeze, defreeze and refreeze are integral stages of change process, and they are equally applicable to our life. When we move from one place to another, everything will be in a state of defreeze or our life may become an ice. In such a situation, it will be much more difficult to introduce change. However, it will not be hard if we really work hard. At the moment, we need to refreeze our existing ideas, lifestyle and way of seeing the universe. For this, we should have patience as shifting our paradigm through continuous value addition is a gradual process.

In reference to my own situation, I have already started a process of self management because it is fundamental in the sense that if I know myself, I will definitely be successful to know the world. This is my core value of life that will certainly lead me to happy and prosperous life for which I will always try to look for happiness in tiny things. This is what I will try as a new thing in the next 30 days so that I can make it as a part of my life.

  12. Hi, before I came to Canada, I used to walk an hour or an hour and a half every day, but, since I am here, I abandoned this good practice. Watching this video, suddenly, I had the idea of walking every day, during the next 30 days, for at least half hour a day. Then, who knows...

  14. I think a person will get old mentally if he stops trying new things. You will find similar slogans even on the bag of lululemon to encourage new experience, as "do one thing that scares you every day". In my life, I have never stopped trying new things. As immigrants, we share collective experience of adapting to a new country. In this process, I've tried working in retails, building a garden in my backyard, camping, line dancing and yard sale etc.. It always makes me feel good when running a project of my own. A few days ago, my daughter suggested me to open my vocabulary notebook when writing summaries and memos in order to practice using new words. I followed, and feel comfortable about it. I'm going to keep writing like this to solid my vocabulary inventory. This winter, I plan to try skating and maybe curling, as my family started last year, I really want to catch up.

  15. Hi guys! For everything there is a first time.I would like for the first time in my life to go and live for 30 days in nature, far away from all civilization. In addition, day after day I would be eating healthy and living and learning from nature I would become more and more close to God and His creation. For sure these 30 days will inspire me in my every day life. After that my stress in life and my view of the people around me,and the value I place on everyday material things should be improved in a positive way.

  16. After I watched the Video, I was encouraged by Matt Cutts’s speech. My goal is to lose 5lbs in the next 30 days. I gained 15lbs after I arrived Canada. It’s a dangerous signal if I don’t take any steps to control them. As far as I know, obesity is contributed to high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high risk for heart attack and high cholesterol. Firstly, I will do exercise everyday for at least 10 minutes by walking on the treadmill. Secondly, I will balance my diet with more vegetables, fruit and less meat. Thirdly, I will drink some water before my meals to reduce the intake of food quantity. Finally, stay away from junk food. I hope that by making these small changes, I will be able to achieve my goal.

  17. For the next 30 days I'd like to talk only in english. this is because I think the stage of learning english is taking me too much of my time and I'm not doing what I really want to do which is something in the field that I want to get in. Now that I'm not working my routine is just home, school and home. at home I just speak in spanish.

  18. Yesterday I have committed to myself to stop smoking in a short period of time by trying reducing smoking considerably until I stop it definitely. I would like to change this bad behavior for which I will plunge with the non-smoking people into the magic life with a fresh air and good health.
The thing that I would like to try on 30 days is to write a short story of 15 to 20 pages about the incredible value of the humanity in our society today, the title of this short story would be “Humanity the Hidden Angel”. This month I could not realize this novel because of the lack of the assertive vocabularies and expressions. This would be realized when I start learning the literature English in upgrading program at Bowvalley that will give me the power to use the Shakespearian language in which it will make my story attractive and meaningful.
